Busy Month Has BLT Groups Going in All Directions

June, 2013, may go down as one of the busiest in BLT history. With the youth production of John Lennon and Me performing for two weekends (closing with three performances this weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June 21, 22, and 23), sandwiching a long and successful trip to Odessa for the Texas Nonprofit Theatres’ annual youth conference, and the abundantly-attended auditions for our summer musical Fiddler on the Roof, set for gala performances July 26, 27, 28, August 2, 3, and 4, and with the culmination of the AACTFest cycle and BLT’s performance of God of Carnage at this prestigious national conference (see the photo above of our display table at the Carmel, IN venue), not to mention the beginning of the summer youth camps being led by Carrie Martin and coordinated by manager Kathryn Saenger, there seems to be no end to important work going on at the Baytown Little Theater. And this list does not even consider ongoing committee work such as the Play-reading Committee, which hosted its first Script Snatch to better acquaint potential directors with plays that this committee has been promoting for future seasons and productions, or the Building and Capital Campaign Committees that continue their important work on the new theater. And I’m sure some other committee and production work is being unintentionally overlooked.

If this list does not convince you that the BLT needs you, and that your contributions are encouraged, indeed coveted, I don’t know what else will. Let us know how you can be involved.
