BLT Solicits Applications for the Mary Lou Burkett Scholarship

The Baytown Little Theater is pleased to announce that it will once again be accepting applications for a scholarship that was established to honor the contributions and memory of Mary Lou Burkett, long-time Baytown teacher, writer, and a dedicated friend of the Baytown Little Theater. It was a significant bequeath from her estate that set BLT on the path to some of the most important changes that have taken place in the past ten years. She helped set the vision of the BLT to raise our ambitions and vision for what we could accomplish.

The scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors or current college students who meet the published criteria and have a past relationship with the Baytown Little Theater. Applications are encouraged from all interested students.

Click below to access the details of the scholarship. Applicants are encouraged to read carefully and respond no later than March 30.

New BLT Video Hits YouTube. Please View and Share

This past Wednesday night, over 40 active BLT members met at the theater to help us put together a video that describes our work and mission. And it turned out pretty good for an hour and a half of rehearsal and work, a handheld consumer video camera, and a bunch of amateur filmmakers. Check it out and see what you think.

Better yet, come be a part of the cool things going on at Baytown Little Theater.
