Description
Several affluent couples gather for a dinner party celebrating their hosts' tenth anniversary. However, they discover there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the host 13 Charley, the deputy mayor of New York City, has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given everyone's social status (lawyer, CPA, psychiatrist and a politician), they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening's events from the local police and the media. However, the police do arrive demanding to see the host and Lenny (pretending to be Charley) comes downstairs to "explain everything." Lenny invents a ludicrous, rambling explanation for everything. The police, partly out of exasperation, buy the story and leave the house. The guests, elated at their success, begin to troop upstairs to confront Charley and find out the real story once and for all, when an incredible development occurs!
Auditions will be readings from the script and will be held at 7PM on September 15 and 16 at the Baytown Little Theater, 4328 Hugh Echols Blvd., Baytown, TX 77521.
