Description
MAME, the award-winning, long-running Broadway musical, makes its first appearance on the BLT stage as our second production of the 2008-2009 season. This Jerry Herman musical, based on the novel by Patrick Dennis and the play "Auntie Mame" by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, shows us that it's okay to possess a wild and adventurous spirit, since "life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death." Well-known songs include It's Today, Open a New Window, We Need a Little Christmas, Bosom Buddies, and of course the rousing title song, MAME.
